Dentures & Partial Dentures

Your Source for Dentures in Birmingham

Dr. Benjamin Williams has been providing high-quality dentures in Birmingham for over a decade. At Woodlawn Dental, we understand that, when replacing missing teeth, comfort and efficacy is vital.

How Dentures Work

Full dentures feature replacement teeth on an acrylic base that fit over your gums. The base of the upper denture covers the roof of your mouth, while the lower denture has a U-shaped base to accommodate your tongue.

Depending on your individual case, and if you require any extractions prior to being fitted for your denture, there are a number of options for you and Dr. Williams to discuss before making your final choice.

Conventional Full Denture - A conventional full denture can be placed after any remaining teeth have been removed and healing is complete.

Immediate Full Denture - An immediate full denture is placed directly after the remaining teeth are extracted. This allows patients to enjoy the full function of a complete smile while healing. Because the contours of the jawbone and gums will change during recovery, immediate full dentures require relining to maintain a secure and comfortable fit.

Partial Denture - A partial denture is supported by a metal frame that attaches to your existing, natural teeth. Crowns are often placed to serve as more secure anchors for the denture. Partial dentures are a removable alternative to conventional bridges.

Our dentist takes great pride in producing high-quality dentures for patients in the Birmingham area. Many new patients come to us with failing dentures because of our reputation for repairing these dental appliances in a timely fashion and with great attention to detail.
